Why Marvin Harrison Jr. is going to be a star in fantasy football

04/26/2024

Marvin Harrison Jr. got selected fourth overall to the Arizona Cardinals and he will be playing with star quarterback Kyler Murray. Harrison Jr. will come in and be the number one receiving option almost immedietly, and in this Cardinals offense he will shine and carry fantasy teams for years to come.

At Ohio State last season, Marvin Harrison Jr. had 67 receptions for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns, and had an average of 18.1 yards per reception. The huge gap for Harrison Jr. is going from Kyle McCord at quarterback to Kyler Murray. Murray is coming off a major injury last season, but once he came back he was as good as he's ever been. In 8 games, he threw 1799 passing yards and 10 touchdowns, with only 5 interceptions. This is great quarterback for someone like Harrison Jr, who thrives in a passing offense.

Marvin Harrison Jr. could potentially be a top 10 wide receiver this year for a couple of reasons. The former Biletnikoff Award winner is going to be the only option for Murray at the moment. He will be fighting for reps with the likes of Greg Dortch and Michael Wilson. The only good receiver that the Cardinals have is their tight end, Trey McBride. With the Harrison Jr. and Trey McBride one-two punch, those two players could be great in fantasy.

We predict Harrison Jr. to be around guys like Stefon Diggs, Keenan Allen, and Michael Pittman Jr. He will easily get over 1,000 yards this year, and we wouldn't be surprised if he got over 1,200 or even 1,300. We have him having upside of around a top 7-10 wide receiver, with the downside of around 22-25. His middle ground is being around the 15th best receiver. We have him going around 4th- 5th round in mock drafts. If he falls any lower than that, draft him immediately because this kid is going to be special in the NFL.
