Why Colby Parkinson will be a top five tight end in Week Three
Colby Parkinson? Some fantasy football players don't even know who the tight end of the Los Angeles Rams is. But, Parkinson will outshine almost all other tight ends this week with the Rams injury battles. When the dust settles, Colby Parkinson WILL be a top five tight end in Week Three of fantasy football.
Last week versus the Arizona Cardinals, Parkinson caught four out of five passes thrown his way for 47 yards and an average of 11.8 yards per reception. His game long catch was for 20 yards also. The Rams were playing without their star studded rookie phenom from last year Puka Nacua. Nacua caught 105 passes last season for 1,486 yards and six touchdowns last season, breaking the rookie receiving record. Also, All-Pro receiver Cooper Kupp got hurt halfway through the game and will likely be out for a couple of weeks.
So, why should you pick up Colby Parkinson? For starters, he is only rostered in 36.2% of leagues currently, so there is a very high chance that he is still rostered in your league. With not one but two Pro-Bowl caliber receving targets out for the Rams, Parkinson has a chance to become the number one option on the team. They play the 49ers this week, and he is projected five receptions for 59 yards and a touchdown, which would give him 16.9 fantasy points. Either way, Parkinson will be a top-five tight end this week.
