Who should you add from the Dodgers during Mookie Betts injury?

06/17/2024

Mookie Betts has been a top-5 player in baseball this season for the Los Angeles Dodgers, but now he's hurt. His manager said it will take "some time" for him to come back from his broken hand injury, but the good news is that Betts will not need any surgery. Now that he's out, we will be going through who is most likely to take his spot as a middle infielder.

Miguel Rojas (0.6%)

Miguel Rojas is the most likely player to come in at shortsop in Betts absence and he has been decent this year in the opportunities he's gotten. He has been batting a split of .278/.328/.444 with three home runs and 14 runs batted in in just 108 at bats so far. If he gets a chance, Rojas could be a great player for the Dodgers, and you should keep an eye on him in case he gets hot.

Gavin Lux (5.9%)

Gavin Lux already plays most games for the Dodgers at second base, but we could see him becoming an everyday player for the Dodgers. He's batting .212/.262/.280 with one home run and 16 RBIs this season. Like Rojas, if Gavin Lux gets a real chance this season to play every game for a month or two while Mookie Betts is out, then he could really prove himself to be a star or even just a good player.
