Waiver Wire Pickups: Fantasy Baseball Edition- Week of 5/13
05/15/2024
Welp, there is another week of fantasy baseball, and with that, comes another week of five waiver wire pickups that you need on your team. This is the seventh edition of this, and our hope is for it to last the rest of the year into the playoffs.
#5- Eddie Rosario OF (9.5%)
Eddie Rosario is an outfielder for the Washington Nationals, and he has been going off in this last week. He has had performances of 21, 7, 14, 12, 14, and 17. In these six games, Rosario has had seven RBIs and four home runs. He also has nine hits in this time period, which is great. If you need a cheap outfielder who can easily go on a run, than Eddie Rosario is for you.
#4- Reese Olson SP (14.3%)
Reese Olson has been going on a tear in his last couple of starts after a rocky start to the seasom. He started off the year with fantasy performances of -27 and -7. But, in his last four starts he has a combined 77 points or a 19.25 average. This average would put him at third in total points over those four starts, which is just showing his dominance. Olson is just begging to be added to your team, so you'll have to follow through and add him.
#3- Shea Langeliers C (15.0%)
Shea Langeliers is currently ranked as the sixth best catcher with an average of 4.8 points per game. He has slowly came into an everyday player for the A's, an now a everyday starter at catcher. He has nine home runs with 24 RBIs total this year, and is a big reason why the A's are playing so well this season, and he will be a big help to your fantasy team as well.
#2- Abraham Toro 3B (26.5%)
Abraham Toro is an utility guy for the Oakland A's, and is also a big help to their success so far this season. He plays third base, second base, and first base for the A's, and is currently ranked as the fifth best third basemen in fantasy right now. He is batting .295 with 17 RBIs and nine doubles this year. His batting splits are also good for a third basemen, and it's looking like .295/.348/.452. Toro has been excelling in this last couple of weeks, and will excel on your team.
#1- Trevor Williams SP (27.2%)
Trevor Williams has been flying under the radar for the Washington Nationals this season, and he has been playing great. He is ranked as the 17th best starting pitcher this season, all while being fourth in the rotation for the Nationals. The best thing about Williams game so far is his consistency, as he has not had a single negative game yet this season. Every star pitcher has had a blunder so far in one game, but Williams hasn't and thats part of the reason why he is first on this list.
