Trade for or pick up Jurickson Profar right now

05/06/2024

Jurickson Profar is quietly having one of, if not the best season of his career. The former number one prospect is now playing back on the Padres, and he is playing outstanding. Now, he needs to be traded onto your team, or even picked up if he's in free agency.

Through 37 games this season, Profar is batting .339, a .426 OBP, and a .529 slugging percentages, all which would be career highs for Profar. He currently is sitting at 228 fantasy points and is ranked as the second best outfielder. In the last week, Profar has really stepped up his game by batting .522 with 12 hits, 2 home runs and 5 RBI's. If Jurickson Profar could keep these performances up for the entire year, he could easily be a top-5 outfielder.

He currently has the sixth highest batting average in the MLB with .344, and is eight in OPS with a .962. He currently has more runs created all ready this season than in 5 of his 12 past season, which is just insane. Profar also hasn't been caught stealing yet this year, and has a 1.2 WAR. (Wins Above Replacement) For example, a player like Julio Rodriguez has only a 0.4 WAR, and Yordan Alverez has a 0.7.

Since he is only rostered in about 70% of leagues, there is still a chance that you can pick him up. In that case, we advise for you to pick him up as soon as possible. He is an everyday starter for the Padres, and you'll need him on your roster if you want to make it to the fantasy championship this year. It's not likely for a player to have the best season of their career in their age 31 season, but Profar is doing that right now.

Since Jurickson Profar is most likely on a roster in your league, we suggets that you trade for him. Some guys we would trade for Profar based off name value is a player like Julio Rodriguez, that hasn't had the best start to a season, but everyone knows who he is, and therefore might accept a trade for Profar even though he is having a way better season. A list of other guys we would trade for Profar is Lourdes Gurriel Jr., Adolis Garcia, George Springer, Riley Greene, Michael Harris, Connor Joe, and Taylor Ward. Either way, try and trade for Jurickson Profar as he is having a career year.
