Sleeper Picks for the RBC Canadian Open
This week is the week of the RBC Canadian Open, which gave us so many memorial moments last year. Among them was Nick Taylors 72-foot putt in the fourth playoff hole against Tommy Fleetwood, and Adam Hadwin getting tackled by the security guard not knowing who it was. This year, we will be going over the top sleeper picks that will be performing well this weekend on your fantasy team heading into the weekend in Canada.
Nicolai Højgaard
Højgaard is coming off a -2 first round in Hamilton, which puts him at tied for 20th place. Just a reminder that Højgaard has the play to win this, as he finished 16th at The Masters where he shot a first round 67, and also made the cut a couple of weeks ago at The PGA Championship. Højgaard is one of the best drivers on the tour and in this factor, and he'll need every bit of those drives to get into contention this weekend.
Cameron Young
Cameron Young sits at -1 fresh out of the first round, putting him at T-34. Young can certainly get into contention as he already has four top-10 finishes this year, coming at the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches, Valspar Championship, the WM Phoenix Open, and a T-9 at The Masters. If Young can put it together for the next three days, he can get himself into another top-10 finish.
Tommy Fleetwood
Sitting five strokes back from the leader at -3 for Fleetwood and finishing T-12 after round one, Fleetwood is still in it. The reigning runner-up is looking to come and get his crown from last year as he lost in classic heartbreak fashion. Fleetwood knows what it's like to be back here in Canada and wants it as much as anyone. With three top-10s already this year, he looks to make it four and help your fantasy team a ton heading into cut day.
