Sell High Players in Fantasy Baseball- Week of May 13th
This is officially the seventh week of fantasy baseball, and with that comes new trading targets. In this article, we will not be going over players that you should trade for, but some players that you should trade away, especially right now because of their recent performances
Brent Rooker
Brent Rooker has been playing great lately for the Oakland A's, and is a huge reason for their recent success. Rooker is batting .288 this year with 10 home runs, 28 RBI's, 34 hits and seven doubles. Rooker already has a 1.0 WAR, which is the highest of his career and he is only 8 weeks into the season.
Rooker is currently ranked as the ninth best outfielder in baseball, but that won't last. Either will his average of 6.1 fantasy points per game, which would put him top-10 for all outfielders.
We would try and sell high on Rooker right now based on how he is playing so far this season. Trade Brent Rooker for other outfielders like Christopher Morel, Cody Bellinger or Riley Greene who will finish off the season with batter stats than Rooker.
Teoscar Hernandez
Teoscar Hernandez has been playing the month of his life so far this season, and let's break it down. He has batting splits are .243/.303/.486, and he has 11 home runs, and 36 RBIs this season. He has hit the ball very hard this season, as the average exit velocity is 92.3, and his hard hit ball percentage is 53%.
In redraft head to head leagues, Hernandez has 220 fantasy points on the year, and is currently the eighth best outfielder in fantasy right now. He has had a bit of an up and down season, with really great games and really horrible games.
Because of Hernandez's roller coaster of a season, we highly suggest to trade him. He has had games in the last two weeks of 19, 19, and 21, and has also had games of -6, -4, and -2. We would trade Hernandez for also Riley Greene or Cody Bellinger, but as well as Adolis Garcia, Alex Verdugo, and Jarren Duran.
Ryan Mountcastle
Ryan Moutcastle is on pace to have a career year in his fifth season with the Orioles. He is currently batting .272 with 41 hits, which would put him top-30 in the MLB. Moutcastle is now known to be a contact first player, and gets a bunch of hits.
We would trade the 10th best first basemen at the moment for a load of players, and here is just a few. Rhys Hoskins, Ryan O'Hearn, Justin Turner, Vlad Guerrero Jr., Anthony Rizzo, Connor Joe, and Christian Walker. These players will are all around Mountcastle stats wise this season, but Mountcastle has been playing better than them so far, and you might be able to sneak a trade in for one of those players named.
