Ronald Acuña Jr.'s injury: Who is going to step up for the Braves?
Ronald Acuña Jr. just suffered a season ending ACL tear, and the 2023 NL MVP will not be playing until the start of next year at the earliest. But, there are other players on the Braves that will need to fill the void of Ronald Acuña, and we intend to find them for you.
Adam Duvall (2.9%)
Adam Duvall is the most likely candidate to step up for Acuña, but it's not certain. So far this season, Duvall has only had 93 at-bats, where he has been batting .204/.292/.690 with five home runs and 13 RBIs. Obviously, with the increase in production coming up, we can expect Duvall's play to increase along with his statistics. Duvall is the probable starter for the future unless the Braves can find another player to replace Acuña with.
Jesse Franklin V (0.0%)
We will admit, Jesse Franklin V is a bit of a longshot to come in and be a star player. But, if any organization could come in and build a star outfield prospect, it's the Atlanta Braves. Franklin V is expected to be called up soon from AA straight to the majors, but he is on the 60-day IL. The good news is Franklin is eligible to come off the injured list in the next week, meaning he can come back. His last three years in the minors have been impressive, and now is as good of a time as ever to call up Franklin V and add him to your team.
Ramón Laureano (0.2%)
The Braves just signed Laureano on a minor league deal, and he is another possible player to be called up and played in that right field spot. They signed Laureano from the Cleveland Guardians, where he was having a down year of .145/.269/.229 with only one home run and four RBIs. But, with a fresh start at possibly an everyday starting role in Atlanta, Laureano could do great things for both your team and the Braves.
