Our MVP Pick for the 4 Nations Face-Off

02/20/2025

The 4 Nations Face-Off just ended earlier tonight, and we were blown away by the competitiveness of the players in this event. When we watched the All Star Game just this past Sunday compared to this, the effort isn't even comparable. These hockey players really gave it their all for their country this week, and we are greatly appreciative of them. But, in this article we are going to be going over our MVP pick for the 4 Nations Face-Off, and why we selected him.

Sam Bennett

While many others might choose to go the Connor McDavid path, we're going to go with Sam Bennet. And while McDavid did score the game winning goal for Team Canada, Bennett was the one who tied the game in the second period, which led to the overtime goal by McDavid. Bennett had one goal and six shots in just 14:18 time on the ice, one of the lowest on Team Canada.

Sam Bennett has been having a stellar season himself, along with this Strictly Fantasy MVP award. He has 18 goals and 17 assists this season, which is good for 35 points. Bennett is trying to lead the Panthers to a back-to-back Stanley Cup victory, and Bennett wants to bring home that Connor Smythe trophy this season. Last year Connor McDavid won the award despite losing the series. But, through the entire 4 Nations Face-Off, Bennett has been of the best players for Team Canada, and he was the best player tonight versus Team USA.
