NFL Fantasy Player of the Year: 2024-25

The NFL fantasy football season is all wrapped up, and now we have to decide one thing. Who was the FPOY? (Fantasy Player of the Year) The decision is down to two people: Ja'Marr Chase and Saquon Barkley. But, the choice was fairly simple, and as a diehard Bengals fan, it pains me to say that Saquon Barkley is your fantasy player of the year.
We're going to break down just why Saquon was FPOY over Ja'Marr Chase, so that the Chase fans will actually see some proof. Chase had 127 receptions for 1708 yards and 17 touchdowns this season, leading the NFL in all three categories. This gave Chase the first Triple Crown since 2021, where Cooper Kupp won the award. This historic season by Chase gave him around 277 fantasy points and he was obviously the WR1 on the season.
Barkley on the other hand, had 2005 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns which is just insane. He was the first 2000 yard rusher since Derrick Henry in 2020, and could've broken the rushing record of 2105 set by Eric Dickerson if he would've played the last game of the season. Barkley also had 33 receptions for 278 yards and two receiving touchdowns on the season. He finished the year with 2283 yards from scrimmage and a total of 322 fantasy points, over 50 what Chase had.
So, after going over the stats, it has been made clear that Barkley's season was better than Chase's. Also, Saquon got nominated for the MVP award this season, so that has to count for something. Both Chase and Barkley have both had very historic seasons nonetheless and deserve their flowers. But, we just happen to believe that Barkley's was better, and when you look at the statistics, you will see that we were right.
