Mexico Open Sleeper Picks

The Mexico Open at VidantaWorld is upon us, just a few weeks before the Masters. There are many bright young stars competing this weekend such as Jake Knapp and Akshay Bhatia, but we're not going to be mentioning any of the big time players golfing this week. In this article, we're going over the sleeper picks to bet on or put in your fantasy lineup for the week.
Sam Ryder
Sam Ryder out of Stetson University has played in many tournaments already in his young career. With four cuts made in all four of the events he has played, he is almost a lock to make the cut this week. His best shot is his approach shot, as he is 16th on the PGA Tour in Strokes Gained from the approach shot. We think that Sam Ryder is going to be really good this week in Mexico.
Joel Dahmen
Fan favorite Joel Dahmen is playing this weekend at VidantaWorld, and we admit, Dahmen is the definition of inconsistent. With three missed cuts so far this season in four events, one may ask why we're putting Dahmen on the list at all. Well, the reading being that in the one event at the Farmers Insurance Open, he got 9th place and could've had a shot to win it if he hadn't shot a three over 75 on Sunday.
Gerando Gomez
The average golf watcher probably hasn't heard of Gerardo Gomez. In fact, many of the players in this tournament might not even know who he is. The reason being is that Gomez, just 19, is playing in his first PGA Tour event this weekend. From what we have heard about Gomez, he is a bright young prospect who could be really good, and also has played this course many times in his young career.
