Marquez Valdes-Scantling signs with the Bills: What is his fantasy value?
BREAKING NEWS: Marquez Valdes-Scantling signs with the Buffalo Bills on a one-year, four and a half million dollars deal. The former Chiefs receiver will look to have the best season of his career with a new team, and try and win them a Super Bowl. The more important question is, what will his fantasy value look like this upcoming season.
Last season with the Kansas City Chiefs, Valdes-Scantling had a bit of a down year. He had the worst year of his career with cutting his yards into almost half. He had 21 receptions for 315 receiving yards and a touchdown. He also had the least amount of targets in his career, with only 42 through 16 games. The bad thing about Valdes-Scantling for your fantasy team is, he usually has his best games in the postseason. In 2022, he was the leading receiver on the Cheifs in their AFC Championship win over the Bengals. He had 8 receptions for 116 yards that game which ended up leading the Chiefs to be Super Bowl Champions.
Valdes-Scantlings fantasy value this year is a low end WR4 to a high end WR5. This means that he will be a nice bench guy for your roster, and possibly playing him at the flex position, or starting him on other players bye weeks. We have Valdes-Scantling currently ranked as anywhere around the 70th best wide receiver in this years mock drafts, with possibily of him going as high as 55, or as low as 85. It all just depends on how well he plays in preseason and training camp. With hope, Marquez Valdes-Scantling will be a low end WR3 and affect your team this year.
