Fantasy Baseball Player of the Week- 6/23
Shohei Ohtani
The best player in baseball showed it this week, with playing incredible. He batted .462/.576/1.154, for an insane 1.730 OPS. He has five home runs, 11 RBIs, and three doubles. Ohtani has shown this week why he is about to be the only designated hitter to win MVP.
In H2H points leagues, Ohtani had 115 fantasy points, which is more than most players get in TWO weeks or even three. His average of 16.3 fantasy points per game is also the most fantasy points any player has had in one of these articles. This week put Ohtani now tied for first with Aaron Judge for the most fantasy points this season at 605.
Jose Quintana
Jose Quintana is definitely a name that you haven't heard of, but this week he was red-hot. He pitched 12.1 innings and threw 14 strikeouts and only three walks giving up only six hits and one earned run. His total ERA was a 0.73 and a WHIP of also 0.73.
It has been a rough year for Quintana as with this weeks performance of 46 points, it only raises his total points on the season to 3. Now that he's on a bit of a hot streak, it's possible that Quintana might become a valuable pitcher in the near future.
