Fantasy Baseball Player of the Week- 5/17

05/19/2024

Aaron Judge

Aaron Judge might be back to his former self after a slower start to the year for him. He an incredible 91 fantasy points this week, 14 more than second place. He did this while averaging 15.2 fantasy points per game in this past week. He has gotten back to being a top-3 fantasy outfielder now, and bumped his total average points on the year by almost a whole point.

Judge topped off this amazing week with an even more incredible performance on May 15th. He went 4-4 this game with three doubles, a monster 467 foot homer, two RBIs, and a walk. This performance got him 37 fantasy points, one of the highest of the season.

Seth Lugo

Seth Lugo has topped his fabulous season so far with two amazing starts this week, adding to 49 fantasy points. Lugo pitched on Sunday and Saturday of this week, and he went off for a combined 13.2 innings pitched, one walk, only three earned runs, and 22 strikeouts, which just states the case for how good he has been playing.

Lugo looks to make his next start on Friday, May 24 against the Tampa Bay Rays, and he looks to continue his hot streak that he is on right now. He has had five straight starts without giving up more than two earned runs, and he has also had an intimidating 7-1 record. He will look to improve both of these things on Friday.
