The race for most points put up in fantasy baseball was closer than expected, between Shohei Ohtani and Aaron Judge. Both of them are going to win the MVP award in their respective leagues. But, who will be the winner of the only award that matters: Fantasy Baseball MVP of the 2024 season. Let's break it down for you in the article.

Shohei Ohtani this season had batting splits of .310/.390/.646 with a 1.036 OPS. He knotched the first ever 50-50 season in the history of the MLB, with hitting 54 homers and stealing 59 bases. He also had 130 RBI's and 197 hits. Ohtani is about to become the first ever designated hitter to win the MVP award, and with stats like these, it's no surprise why. He led the Dodgers to the best record in the NL this season as well, and at the writing of this article, they are down 1-2 against the Padres in the NLDS.

Aaron Judge on the other hand, had batting splits of .322/.458/.701 with a 1.159 OPS. Judge was so close to breaking his own American League single season home run record, just 4 shy with him hitting 58 homers this season. He also had 180 hits and 144 runs batted in, but only 10 stolen bases this season. He also led the Yankees to the best record in the AL this season as they are now going up against the winner of Game 5 in the Guardians-Tigers game on Friday night.

So, who is the Fantasy Baseball MVP of 2024? We are going to give the slight edge to ... Shohei Ohtani. When you look closer at the stats, it's becomes clear who the winner should be. He nearly has as many home runs as Judge with also stealing 59 bases. When Ohtani comes back to pitching next season, he's going to put the National League on notice and win his fourth MVP.
