Deni Avdija traded to the Trail Blazers: Does his fantasy value skyrocket?

06/26/2024

On Wednesday afternoon, Deni Avdija was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers, sending Malcolm Brogdon and two picks to the Washington Wizards. Avdija has jumped ship from one rebuilding team to another one, but on the Trail Blazers we could see his fantasy value and production go up heavily.

Last season in Washington, Deni Avdija averaged 14.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 3.8 assists on 51% FG and 37% from three. Avdija is a good scorer who can also rebound the basketball very good for only being 6'9. He can be a great piece for the Trail Blazers, as he is only 23 years old.

So, will this be the year for Deni Avdija? We currently think so. The Trail Blazers roster is looking very young and guard heavy, so a nice wing player would be great for the Trail Blazers. We predict that Avdija could even be the star player or the second highest scoring player on this team, averaging around 22+ points per game, 8.5+ rebounds per game, and 3 assists per game.

With the starting five looking like Scoot Henderson, Anfernee Simons, Deni Avdija, Jerami Grant and Deandre Ayton. The Blazers could actually make the Play-In this season and possibly do some damage with Avdija leading the team in scoring. So, we would highly suggest picking Deni Avdija in your fantasy league this season.
