Bojan Bogdanovic to the Nets: How will he do in fantasy?

06/25/2024

This Tuesday night, Bojan Bogdanovic got traded to the Brooklyn Nets for Mikal Bridges, and to see what we think of Mikal Bridges in a Knicks jersey, go and look at that article. Bogdanovic will be a big part of the Nets rebuilding this season, so that's why we feel the need to make a solo article just about Bogdanovic.

Last season with the Knicks, Bogdanovic averaged 15.2 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 57 games. He did this shooting 45.4% from the field and 40% from three. When he was on the Knicks, he got caught in the Tom Thibodeau rotation and only played 19.2 minutes per game and his point averages dropped from 20.2 all the way down to 10.4.

Now being on a rebuilding Nets team, we could see Bogdanovic come back to his 30 minutes per game like he has had the past eight seasons and starting most of the games. With the only players currently on the Nets roster that are fighting for playing time with Bogdanovic being Dorian Finney-Smith and Noah Clowney, it looks as if Bogdanovic could play 33+ minutes per game this season. Now, he is entering his age 35 season, so he might be a little out of shape. But we could be seeing a career year from Bojan Bogdanovic.

Speaking on career years, Bogdanovic's career highs for a single season are 21.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists. We could see his stats hovering around here just based on how bad the Brooklyn Nets will be this year, and how many minutes he will play. This move is good for everyone, as the Nets enter the rebuilding proccess with multiple draft picks, the Knicks get the fourth part of the Villanova crew and turn into a major title contender, and Bogdanovic gets a fresh chance to be great.
