April 1 Fantasy Baseball Insight

04/01/2025

This is the first article in a brand new series that we are doing, where we post an article about the upcoming day in fantasy baseball, and some waiver wire adds you can add, what matchups to look out for, and who to bench and start. Let us know if you are interested in reading about it, and let's get right into it.

Pitchers to Stream

Simeon Woods Richardson against the horrific White Sox is a great pitcher to stream if you just need some free points. He is at the back end of this Twins rotation, so he hasn't made a start yet this season. With him only being rostered in 5% of leagues, he is a great pickup to add for today.

Shane Baz is another pitcher that we would stream for today. With him only being rostered in about 30% of leagues, there is a very high chance that you could go out and grab him. He's going up against a Pirates team that is struggling a lot this season with hitting, so it may be a good outing for Baz today.

One last pitcher that we would stream today is Carson Spiers against the Texas Rangers today. The Reds went haywire yesterday against the Rangers in a 14-3 win, and they look to continue that tonight as well. Spiers is only rostered in about 0.4% of leagues, so pick him up for a couple of easy, free points.

Players to Bench

We would bench Spencer Torkelson today against the Seattle Mariners. Even though Torkelson has been playing great so far this season with a .429 batting average and a home run, he has to go up against Logan Gilbert tonight, who we think just isn't a good matchup for him. So, give him a break and let him sit this one out.

Another player to bench today is Teoscar Hernandez against the Braves tonight. Even though the Dodgers have been playing really well this season, Hernandez has struggled with putting the bat on the ball. He is only batting .227 this season, but he has two home runs. Chris Sale is the opposing pitcher tonight also, and the reigning Cy Young winner is going to wreak havoc on this undefeated Dodgers team.

So, that wraps up the first daily Fantasy Baseball insight. We are likely to continue this series, and tomorrow we promise to add more to this. Let us know if you want to see any changes with this as well, and you can email us @strictlyfantasy@gmail.com, or respond to our instagram comments.
